JEC prepares students for the rigor of an academic career at the college or university of their choice. Our aim is to develop educational capacity. To that end our centers offer classes on a variety of subjects, exam instruction and individualized enrichment sessions.

JEC Spring Term 2012 Registration

JEC is actively enrolling students for the JEC Spring Term 2012 program.  This Spring term schedule will start on 1/30/2012 and continue until 6/16/2012 for 20 weeks.  To find out more about JEC program and to schedule for an assessment test, please call JEC now.  An assessment test and the academic consultation are provided at the free of charge.

New Classes in the Upcoming Spring Term

JEC will have two new programs added in the Spring term 2012.  Please see the following for the description and the highlighted benefits of taking the courses.

 Elementary Module Program

JEC Elementary Module Program is designed for 3rd through 5th graders to enrich students' knowledge in specific content areas by having the students engaged in guided self-study for one-scheduled hour per week depending on the student's current enrollment at no additional charge. There are four content areas, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, and math, to focus on during the term, and the academic counselor at JEC will help the students to choose the right module based on individual student's needs.
 
Ready for PSAT English
 
The Ready for PSAT English is designed for 7th through 9th graders who want to get started on preparing toward the standardized college entrance exam early. By learning grammatical concepts and practice writing essays in various genres and utilizing of contemporary literature to study vocabulary words and hone reading skills, students will increase their core knowledge and practice crucial reading and writing skills necessary to get high scores on PSAT. The benefit of taking this class is not only limited for the preparation for PSAT but also it helps students to prepare AP English classes in their high school years.
